Off-grid mesh messaging keeps teams communicating when there is no network infrastructure — no mobile coverage, no Wi-Fi, no satellite. Instead of routing through servers, devices form a mesh over short-range radio (typically Bluetooth Low Energy): each device advertises, discovers nearby peers, and relays messages onward. A message from A can reach D by hopping through B and C, with none of the four sharing a network. The engineering substance sits in three places. Store-and-forward delivery: a relaying device holds an encrypted message until it encounters the recipient or another useful relay, so the mesh tolerates people moving in and out of range — messages flow opportunistically rather than requiring an unbroken live chain. Routing discipline: hop budgets stop messages circulating forever, deduplication stops the same message being processed twice as copies arrive by different paths, and delivery remains probabilistic-but-practical rather than guaranteed — honest platforms say so. When connectivity returns, mesh traffic reconciles with the main platform so history converges.
